Meet the Letters from Lisa Team

Lisa Giuffre (she/her), Founder

Lisa is a speech-language pathologist for students on the autism spectrum. She is also a mental health advocate who lives with OCD. Though Lisa exhibited symptoms of OCD and anxiety very early on in childhood, she was not diagnosed until her late-teen years, and didn’t begin the proper treatment until she was in her 20s. Lisa shares her mental health journey so people feel less alone and to help people recognize symptoms so they can begin the right treatment soon after diagnosis.

Lisa loves mail so much that she also writes notes and is the treasurer for Not Alone Notes, a nonprofit that sends notes to people with OCD and related disorders. When she is not writing letters, she is a board member and social media chair for OCD NJ, an affiliate of the IOCDF.

In her spare time, Lisa loves spending time with family and friends, reading, crafting, and going for walks. She is also recently graduated with a second master’s degree in Autism Spectrum Disorders.
